Senate OKs new tax credit closing deadline | Inman News

The Senate has ammended a bill that would require homeowners who went under contract  by the April 30th deadline to have an additional 3 months to close on the house past the June 30th deadline and still receive the Federal Tax Credit of $8,000 stimulus money.  There is a backlog of 180,000 homes waiting to close nationwide.  This extension will allow the the lenders time to continue on with the closing of the homes.  Coldwell Banker is offering a Buyer Bonus Program of 3% (up to $8,000) credit on certain homes participating in the program.  The rates are great in Wilmington NC and the inventory is varied.  Please take time to search online, at www.cbbaker.com .
